We are Felix and Max – the Braunstein Brothers.
Two brothers, two personalities, one vision: We want to create wines that carry our signature. Straightforward, honest, unfiltered. No label to hide behind – but a clear line that shows what we stand for.
With our own wine line, BRAUNSTEIN BROTHERS, we’re making a statement for self-determination, for courage, and for forging new paths. We grew up on a winery with centuries of tradition – but now we’re writing our own chapter. Because wine can be young, bold, powerful – and still have depth.
We combine tradition with character. Our wines are inspired by sports, by boxing, by life itself. We believe in hard work, in precision, in endurance – all of which are just as essential in the vineyard as they are in the ring. And you can taste that in every bottle.
BRAUNSTEIN BROTHERS – this is our path. And we’re happy if you walk it with us.

Besides wine, we have another passion: boxing.
It requires quick reflexes as well as endurance.
Boxing demands both handwork and footwork – just like working in the vineyard or stomping grapes in the vats.
Boxing calls for fairness. Winemaking requires respect and reverence.
We bottled our first two wines with the 2020 vintage – one white, one red.
In both cases, we let nature take its course:
Spontaneous fermentation on the stems, extended maceration, aging in amphora, in wood, in stainless steel. No added sulfur, bottled unfiltered.
The result?
Raw yet balanced, full of aroma and character – and simply a pleasure to drink.

Almost everything we know about wine, we learned from our mother.
Birgit Braunstein is not only a well-known name in the Austrian wine scene – to us, she is above all a role model.
A strong woman with a fine instinct for nature, quality, and what truly matters.
For over 20 years, she has consistently followed her path as a pioneer of biodynamic winemaking.
Long before it became a trend, she embraced circular farming, vitality, and inner balance – in the vineyard and in life.
Pristine nature, the harmonious interaction between plants, animals, and humans, caring for healthy soils, a stable ecosystem, and respectful relationships with everyone involved – these have always been at the heart of Birgit Braunstein’s work.
That’s why, for us, there’s only one way to make wine: biodynamic, natural, honest – and shaped by a deep love for the earth, for family, and for craftsmanship.
